50th Anniversary
Celebration
Your photos and memories can be part of the
Village’s upcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration. Somewhere in
the attic or buried deep in a closet or drawer, there may be a
box of old photographs you would like to share as part of
Hanover Park’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Photos and other
memorabilia will be displayed at the Village Hall. Maybe you
have a special memory such as your first trip to the first
shopping center that opened. We are also trying to find out who
has lived in Hanover Park the longest. Please let us know if you
think it could be you.
Fifty years is a landmark date whether it is
a person’s age, a wedding or business anniversary. It’s a time
to celebrate!
Even if you don’t have those old photos or
memories to share, give us your suggestions for what you would
like to see as part of a year-long celebration. Please forward
your suggestions to the Mayor's Office by calling (630) 372-4218
or email Kim
Benedix, Executive Coordinator to the Village Manager.
Let us all show the pride we share and look
forward to the next fifty years.

Route 66 brings you those "oldies but goodies" just the way you
remember and want to hear. It's like putting on a stack of your old 45s
and reliving those great times and good old fashioned rock 'n roll.

came to be known as "jazz-rock". They fused rock, blues, pop
music, horn arrangements and jazz improvisation that resulted in hit
songs that include I Can't Quit Her, Sometimes In Winter, I Love You
More Than You'll Ever Know, You've Made Me So Very Happy, Spinning
Wheel, And When I Die, Hi-De-Ho, Lucretia MacEvil, and Go Down Gamblin'.
