For five years, Prairie Station Pub has been
providing a friendly atmosphere for local residents to gather in Hanover
Park. Prairie Station Pub currently employs eight people at its location
in the Ontarioville Historic District.
Prairie Station Pub was established in 2003 and has gone
through an extensive renovation of an historic building in order to keep
the character of the past. One of the many challenges the pub faces is
keeping up with the ever changing State and local laws. The pub has had
a steady increase in sales and a large increase in loyal customers over
the years. John Holdeman, owner, stated “My philosophy is to go the
extra mile to give customers activities such as ping-pong, pool, and
horseshoes. I try to get people involved in their own’s surroundings.”
Prairie Station Pub has been involved in the community
by sponsoring local “Toys for Tots” drives, the Streamwood D.A.R.E.
program, and several fundraisers. Mr. Holdeman played a significant role
in the Classic Car Show held in conjunction with the Village’s 50th
Anniversary celebration. Prairie Station Pub was a finalist for the 2007
Mayor’s Choice Award in recognition of this commitment to the community
and their customers. Stop in to Prairie Station Pub located at
1951 Ontarioville Road, Hanover Park, IL or contact the Hanover Park
business at (630) 483-2100. Pub hours are 7:00 am – 2:00 am weekdays and
