Revised HANOVER PARK VILLAGE HALL HOURS OF OPERATION & GUIDELINES Begin Aug 3rd
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:30 a.m.– 4:30 pm
Senior Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Closed on Wednesday. The Finance Counter at the Police Department will no longer be open beginning August 3rd.
Visitors To Village Hall
- All visitors MUST wear a face covering over their mouth and nose to enter Village Facilities.
- Only one visitor at a time will be allowed at a Village counter. Those waiting their turn must remain at the next social distancing floor maker. Children under the age of 18 can accompany a visitor
- All visitors MUST practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6’ of physical separation from others. Floor marks will be installed at 6’ intervals in waiting areas to facilitate social distancing. It shall be the responsibility of all Village employees to recognize and instruct visitors to comply with requirement.
- Visitors are encouraged to utilize hand sanitizer stationed inside the main entrance.
- No public waiting will be allowed inside Village Hall except for those standing in line using the floor marking system. All visitors in line move up one service line at a time to maintain social distancing.
6. Elevator usage is restricted to single occupancy. Children under the age of 18 can accompany a visitor.Emergency Declaration ends August 6th
The Village’s emergency declaration will expire on August 6, 2020, which means the suspension of water shut-off, waiving of late fees, escalation of parking tickets, and citations are ending. Code Enforcement will resume the curb appeal program and cite for ordinance violations as of August 7, 2020.
For water and sewer bills, late fees will resume on the August billing cycle. If current bills are not paid on the due date, which is August 21, a 10% late fee will be added and a termination notice will be issued. Your water will be shut-off only if the total bill is not paid in full or if alternative arrangements have not been made. Water shut-off will start on the 9th of September, 2020.

A MESSAGE FROM GROOT REGARDING GARBAGE PICKUP
MAY 4- Groot has decided to lift/discontinue the temporary measure regarding pickup dated March 22nd. This means Groot will begin collecting bulk items, construction and demolition debris, white goods and e-waste effective May 11th. For the month of May Groot will be restricting this to 1 bulk item per week to help with the pent-up demand. Groot will continue to ask residents placing out bagged garbage to make sure it is sealed/tie off.
Finance Department Change of Hours
Due to the safety of our employees and the greatly reduced customer usage, the Village of Hanover Park is suspending the Thursday night extended hours of operation for the Finance Department.
Beginning immediately, the Finance Department’s Hours of Operation are 8:00AM and 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.
The Village of Hanover Park Finance Department is still providing limited financial services such as processing cash payments and handling transfer stamp pick-ups in the lobby of the Hanover Park Police Department. To promote social distancing, residents are strongly encouraged to utilize pay online services or use the Finance Department’s Drop Box located in front of Village Hall. Water Shut-offs have been temporariy suspended.
To make an online payment for water bills, parking violations/citations, to purchase commuter parking permits, transfer stamps and other miscellaneous bills, please go to the Village’s pay online services by visiting at www.hpil.org
