Hanover Park Police Announce Labor Day: "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign Results

Hanover Park, Illinois- The Hanover Park Police Department made 636 traffic stops during the recent Labor Day campaign resulting in 11 DUI arrests and more than 365 citations were issued including:
• 14 child car seat citations
• 6 warrant arrests
• 41 no valid/suspended/revoked licenses
• 38 uninsured motorists
• 74 speeding citations
“As law enforcement officers, we do our best to protect motorists, pedestrians and other road users,” said Deputy Chief Victor DiVito. “While enforcement campaigns like these save lives, there is still much to be done. Please help us spread the message: "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
The Hanover Park Police Department joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners throughout the state for the Labor Day traffic safety campaign.
The program was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
