Hanover Park Wins 2018 Governor's Award! Thanks to a collaborative grassroots process to bring positive change to the community, our Greenbrook Tanglewood Neighborhood Revitalization project has won the 2018 Governor’s Hometown Award in the category of Economic Opportunities! Embracing an integrated approach to community development, the Village of Hanover Park and DuPage Habitat for Humanity have been working in coalition with neighborhood residents and partners to address the many elements that contribute to a higher quality of life, including health care, safety and economic development, affordable housing and community pride & inclusion. School Districts, churches, banks, and community organizations have been working hand-in-hand with the Village and Habitat, holding neighborhood clean-up events, barbeques, job fairs, and service days.
Following submission of an application, the Village and DuPage Habitat for Humanity made a presentation to a panel of judges in Springfield. Projects from across the state were scored based on need, collaboration, use of resources, and impact. The award will be presented on November 20th in Springfield. We are Hometown Proud!

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY® 2018 Shop local with small retail businesses & restaurants during the holidays! The Village of Hanover Park is proud to support Small Business Saturday 2018.
Small Business Saturday® was started in 2010 to celebrate small local businesses. Our small businesses are the first to create local jobs, support our children’s sports teams, and can be counted on to support community civic groups, charities, and causes which strengthen Hanover Park as a community. This holiday season, please consider our locally owned independent businesses as you prepare to celebrate with family and friends. Browse our local shops for unique gifts, dine at our restaurants, and consider gift certificates from local service businesses, restaurants, and retailers! Shopping local really supports the community, helping these businesses grow and provide jobs, and you have satisfaction that your sales tax dollars will be used to build Hanover Park. The Village urges Hanover Park residents to support our neighborhood businesses and to shop and dine local on NOVEMBER 24th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving as a holiday shopping tradition -- and throughout the year. We hope you will be part of Small Business Saturday® 2018 and help your business and community thrive!
