The Village of Hanover Park, in coordination with the Illinois Tollway, hosted a public information meeting on August 20, 2019 at Village Hall. Attendees learned about the preliminary engineering study for improvements to the U.S. Route 20 (Lake Street) Interchange at Illinois Route 390 Tollway, the study schedule, planning process, and the existing conditions; additionally they were able to provide input on local transportation issues and needs.
The Village of Hanover Park, in coordination with the Tollway, seeks to improve the flow of traffic accessing the U.S. Route 20 Interchange. This study, which is scheduled to be completed in 2020, will determine if extending the interchange ramps to County Farm Road can address local traffic issues.
Information about the U.S. Route 20 (Lake Street) Interchange Improvement Study can be viewed on Outreach section on the Illinois Tollway website at www.illinoistollway.com.
