Beginning May 1, 2014, the Village of Hanover Park began utilizing an adjudication process for the mediation of all parking and local ordinance tickets. If you are a resident and receive a parking ticket, on the ticket is a hearing date should you wish to be heard in regards to the violation. Hearings are held at the Village Hall, 2121 Lake Street, Room 214. Simply report on the date assigned and check in with the clerk. If you are a Non-Resident of the Village you may waive your appearance and submit an affidavit stating the facts or reasons for contesting the ticket. These forms may be obtained at the Police Department front desk. Please be advised if the Adjudicating Judge determines you are liable then a $100 court fee will be assessed on top of the initial fine of the ticket.

The Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee (CIDC) fosters and promotes understanding, mutual respect, cooperation, and positive relations between and among all residents of the Village by creating a sense of shared community among residents and affirming the value of each resident. The members CIDC will receive Cultural Competency and Awareness training at the Tuesday, December 18th, 2018 scheduled committee meeting date.
Committee members will explore fundamental concepts and theories that will help strengthen their diversity and inclusion literacy. This workshop will equip participants with the knowledge and awareness that will prepare them to be change agents and better serve the diverse residents of Hanover Park.
