Hanover Park Car & Motorcycle Show

The Village of Hanover Park proudly sponsors the 12th annual Car & Motorcycle Show on August 1st from 12-4pm. The event benefits the Hanover Park Community Resource Coalition to raise funds for youth summer camp programs. This summer camp program helps 40 local children attend an 8-week long camp. The camp includes field trips, swimming, life skills and much more.

This is a FREE event open to the public, and will be fun for all ages. The event will feature live music from The Stingers Band, food trucks and a 50/50 raffle.  Registration to display your vehicle at the car show will be open the day of the event from 9 am to Noon; walk-in registration for vehicles is $20.

For registration information, call Gayle at 847-514-4349. Car registrars will be provided with a free t-shirt for the first 200 entries. Trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Paint, and Best Engine.       

North Metra Lot Closed Beginning Friday, July 30 For Car Show

The entire NORTH Metra Lot will be closed beginning Friday, July 30 at 7pm through Sunday, August 1 at 6pm for the Hanover Park Car and Motorcycle Show on Sunday, August 1 from 12pm to 4pm.

Commuters should park in the SOUTH Metra Parking Lot. VIOLATORS will be towed.

Wednesday Night Live! Featuring
Lalo de la Rosa – August 4 at 7PM

Based in Hanover Park, Lalo de la Rosa (formerly La Nueva Venganza) has a faithful following. With great instrumentation and vocal harmonies, they bring you the best Latin music in the area.

Bring your lawn chairs, food, your favorite beverage to sit back and unwind midweek with an evening of great music. Join us at the music Pavilion in the Hanover Park Sports Complex at 1200 Sycamore Avenue. The concerts are FREE!   
  

2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update- Week 6

Roadwork continues this week with the completion of curb and sidewalk replacement north of Irving Park Rd.  Crews are now milling the existing pavement surface on streets north of Irving Park Rd.  Once milling operations are completed, patching areas will be addressed followed by the new pavement surface.  While crews are busy north of Irving Park Rd, work continues around the Lake St portion of the Village with concrete work. 

Residents are reminded if you see “No Parking” sings mounted along your street to please use alternate parking locations during the time frame specified.  As always residents will have access to their street and driveways during the construction progress, however minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.
