2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update

The resurfacing project has reached a milestone this week!  All concrete work for sidewalk, curb and gutter locations to improve drainage and meet ADA requirements have been completed.

In the coming weeks, the Village’s resurfacing contractor will be completing the resurfacing on the remaining streets, followed by pavement markings and parkway restoration.  The resurfacing project has a completion date of October 22, 2021 and is expected to be completed on time.  As always residents will have access to their street and driveways during the construction progress, however minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.

2021 Resurfacing and Water Main
Project

The new water main has been completely installed underground on Maplewood Ave. However, the construction activity will continue with water main testing to ensure water quality and the pressure is up to Village’s standards. Once all the testing is completed, Village’s contractor will work on water service switchover in the coming weeks. Residents effected by this operation will be notified in advance by Public Works. Residents may also see some light activities such as saw-cutting sidewalk and curb & gutter for removal and replacement.

The public will have access to the streets and driveways during the construction progress; however, minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.
