Halloween Contest Flyer

Spooktacular Halloween Home Decorating Contest- Register Today!


We are looking for the best Halloween Decorated Homes in Hanover Park. By participating in the contest, your home will be placed on our Halloween Tour Map to lure visitors to your home to be scared! Visit our website to register.


Participation Requirements
The contest is open to all Hanover Park residents. Registration is FREE. Please register by October 15th. All homes will be placed on our Halloween Tour Map which will go live on October 16th. 

Award Categories
  • People's Choice Award- Spookiest Home
  • Village Board Award
  • Most Creative Pumpkin Display
  • Park District Award
Prizes
The winner of each award category will win a $100 gift card. The winners and second place finishers will be featured in an upcoming Hi-Lighter newsletter. Winners will be announced October 30th.


Brush Pickup Map

Brush Pickup Continues


The Brush Pickup Program provides free curbside pickup and chipping of branches, which are then reused as mulch. Last year, the program produced 1,765 cubic yards of mulch which was made available free to Village residents for use around shrubs and flower beds. Brush wis picked up in April, July, and October.

2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update


The Village's contractor has received the required permitting this week from DuPage County for intersection work on Arlington Dr & Greenbrook.  Next week residents will see construction activities resume beginning with milling of the existing roadway, followed by resurfacing. 


As always residents will have access to their street and driveways during the construction progress, however minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.

2021 Resurfacing and Water Main Project

All the underground work has been completed on this project. Concrete work, including curb and gutter and sidewalk, is scheduled to be completed early next week, weather permitting. 


Temporary access to driveways, affected by construction work, are being restored.Village’s contractor will start milling pavement surface next week and will be followed by pavement patching.The public will have access to the streets during construction; however, minor delays may occur.
