Hanover Park Trick or Treat Hours- 3pm to 7pm on October 31stPlease be aware that small children will be out and about during that time, and if driving, pay extra close attention and PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY. Most residential streets within the village are posted 20mph zones. If you choose to participate in trick-or-treating, here are some guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health Residents who do not wish to participate should keep their front porch lights off and front door closed.

No Yard Waste Sticker Required for Leaf Collection in NovemberAs a benefit to the residents of Hanover Park, leaf collection in November will not require a yard waste sticker to be collected by Groot Industries. This is during the month of NOVEMBER ONLY. Leaf collection in all other months will occur as it has previously. All you need to do is rake your leaves, put them into a recyclable yard waste bag, and set them at the curb on your normal trash pickup day. 2021 Roadway Resurfacing Update
This week marks the substantial completion for the Village’s resurfacing program. The Village’s prime contractor has finished the resurfacing on this year’s roadways. In the coming week the roadway striping will be completed on the final phase of the streets. Additionally, clean up will also begin removing any debris, traffic control signage and other miscellaneous items. As always residents will have access to their street and driveways during the construction progress, however minor delays may occur. 2021 Resurfacing and Water Main ProjectThis week marks a milestone for the Village’s Resurfacing and Water Main Project. The Village’s prime contractor, Brothers Asphalt, has completed the leveling binder on the affected streets. The contractor has also completed driveway apron patching repair work that was damaged during the curb repair phase. In the coming week, residents will see the final asphalt work being completed. Once the asphalt work is completed, roadway striping, and parkway restoration will take place. The public will have access to the streets during construction; however, minor delays may occur.
