water main construction

2022 Infrastructure Improvement Project

Water main installation is progressing along Northway Drive this week approaching another milestone with chlorination and testing completed from Hastings Lane south to Yorkshire Drive.  Church Street watermain installation currently stands at 90% complete with the final connections remaining starting next week.  Beverly and Bedford Ct have also made progress on the watermain construction with approximately 35% of the main installed.  The Villages contractor on this project will also begin the resurfacing portion of the project on the completed streets starting late next week with surface milling followed with paving.

With any construction project, residents on the affected streets may notice colored flags in the parkway along their street and paint marks along the curb and sidewalk.  We ask residents to leave the flags in place during construction as these mark underground utilities for the contractor.

For the duration of the project, residents will retain access to their street and driveway though minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.

A  map of Village streets being improved during the 2022 season is available on our website.

2022 Resurfacing Project Update

Driveway repairs are currently in process and are expected to be completed this week.  The first phase of pavement improvement will begin the week of August 8th with pavement milling and will be followed by asphalt placement.

Parkway restoration, which includes new topsoil, grass seed, fertilizer, and erosion control blanket has been completed. Rain will handle most of the watering, but the new grass can be sensitive in its first year of growth. Residents are encouraged to water and help the grass grow throughout the season.

The public will have access to the streets during construction; however, minor delays may occur. If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.
