Special Brush Pickup- Week of July 22

Due to the recent storms, Public Works will do a free brush pickup event the week of July 22nd. Crews will start in the red highlighted area shown on the attached map and then will complete pickup for the rest of the Village.

All brush must be less than 8 inches in diameter, between 2 and 10 feet long, and neatly stacked in the parkway with the cut end towards the curb before 7 am on Monday, July 22nd. Brush with pine needles or thorns, wire/rope/twine, construction material/lumber, or any other non-brush material will not be picked up. If you have any questions, please call the Public Works Department at (630) 823-5700.

Picnic


DON'T MISS OUT ON ALL THE FUN!!!  The COPS Day Picnic is this Friday, July 19th at the Hanover Park Park District from 5:00pm to 8:30pm.  There are so many fun things for the kids to do at the COPS Day Picnic!  Get your face painted, dance to the D.J., pet a goat at the petting zoo, get a custom-made hat from the balloon twister, have your caricature drawn by an artist, play video games in the gaming bus, strike a pose in the photo booth, and play lawn games with police officers. 

There is an emergency vehicle show and a Touch-A-Truck where you can have your photo taken in a squad car or fire truck, and play in the huge sand pile. Win a new bike in our raffle! Tickets are only $3 or 5 for $10. At 6:30pm, Officer Wiebe and his K9 Echo will do a demonstration where you can learn about the life and work of a police dog. At 8:00pm, RC Juggles will perform and then the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" will be shown. Free hot dogs will be served at the picnic! Come out and have dinner on us, and enjoy a fun time with the family!

Hanover Park residents who want to report standing water or nuisance mosquito levels, or would like to sign-up for advance notifications (via text or email) of scheduled mosquito control treatments are encouraged to register on Clarke’s Customer Portal at https://www.clarkeportal.com. Residents who prefer to do so via phone may use Clarke’s Resident Hotline number, 800-942-2555.

2024 Resurfacing Project Update: 

This week the contractor continued concrete removals and replacements on Wildwood Ln, Nautilus Ln, Windward Ln, Sandpiper Dr, and Starboard Dr. Next week the contractor will continue concrete removal and replacement on the south side streets. Pavement markings and punchlist items are the only remaining work on the north side streets. Residents who will lose driveway access due to the concrete removal will be notified before that starts.
