Midas Celebrates 50 Years in Hanover Park!

We are thrilled to announce that Midas in Hanover Park, located at 1505 Irving Park Road, is celebrating a remarkable milestone—their 50th anniversary this November! Midas has proudly served our community for 50 years, and we are excited to share this special occasion with you.

Midas Hanover Park was founded in 1974 by Ted Mirski and was initially a muffler shop, then expanded into brake service, and is now a full-service repair shop, dedicated to providing top-notch service for both domestic and foreign vehicles.

Midas would like to celebrate their 50th anniversary by having Customer Appreciation promotions and special offers throughout November to express their gratitude to their loyal customers, who have supported them throughout the years.

Call to make an appointment (630-246-2153) or stop in and make Midas your shop of choice for all your automotive needs, even after your vehicle's new car warranty expires.

Small Biz Saturday

Small Business Saturday -Shop Small, Shop Local!

Saturday, November 30th, 2024

The “Shop Local - Shop Small” movement was created to shine a spotlight on locally owned businesses across the U.S.  This year, the 15th annual  Shop Small Saturday is November 30, 2024. When you begin your holiday shopping this year, consider buying products and gift certificates from local retailers in Hanover Park before buying from national retailers.

In the age of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Amazon, it's easy to skip over the mom and pop shops for the big box stores or online retailers. But when you shop and support your favorite local shops, you will be helping to build a stronger Hanover Park because your money stays local and supports local jobs as well as your neighbors and business community.

Last year, it was reported that 59% of U.S. consumers shopped or ate at a small independently owned retailer or restaurant on Small Business Saturday.

The 2022 Small Business Economic Impact Study4 showed that if every Gen Z and Millennial shopper spent $10 at a small business on Small Business Saturday, it would support $2 billion in local economic activity throughout the U.S. The study also found that $0.68 of every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S. stays in the local community and that every dollar spent at small businesses creates an additional $0.48 in local business activity as a result of employees and local businesses purchasing local goods and services.

Shop local and support YOUR community!
