Hanover Park's 3rd annual Restaurant Week is coming soon! Get ready to taste the globe in 10 days! Check out our website to view the participating restaurants and their Restaurant Week special!

Breakfast with the Bunny

The Hanover Park Lions Club is hosting Breakfast with the Bunny on March 28th at the Community Center. Beginning at 8:00 AM, the Lions will be serving a buffet-style ALL YOU CAN EAT pancake breakfast. The Bunny will also be available for photos with attendees! Tickets are available for sale at the Park District for $7 dollars for those 13 years and under and $8 dollars for those 13 and older.

Doggie Eggstravaganza - March 28th

Join us for an egg hunt filled with dog treats and some special golden tickets! Bring your cameras, because our special guest, the Easter Bunny, will be on hand for pictures. Pet costumes are always welcome! Pet-friendly vendors will be on hand to visit with as well. The cost is $5 per dog. The first 50 furry friends receive a goodie bag! Registration opens March 2nd - stay tuned!

New Year, New Projects!

The Public Works and Engineering team can't wait for the weather to warm up and construction season to begin. This year's projects, ranging from road resurfacing and watermain replacement to bike path upgrades, are a part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the Village of Hanover Park safe and beautiful!

Over the past few weeks, we have shared brief overviews of the 2026 bicycle and pedestrian improvement projects and what residents should keep an eye out for during the upcoming construction season. The map below highlights the locations of each project.

This year, in addition to the Village’s annual sidewalk improvements, these projects will add or improve over 4 miles of bike/pedestrian infrastructure. The Village has received over $2.9 million in grant funding through the Federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) and Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) for these improvements. Informational signage will also be installed along the improved bike paths.

Mental Health Movement - March 9 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Wanda Farnell of Schaumburg NAMI guides patrons through a mental health movement class to empower the self. Visit the library's website to register.

Wonder About Your Water? @ Main Branch - March 2 - March 31: This exhibit, from the award-winning environmental & education non-profit SCARCE, explores the three watersheds of DuPage County, and empowers locals to think about the way they use water—and the ways that we can all help to protect that water supply together. All ages are welcome! Exhibit located in the Reference Department (near the front entrance of the Main Library).

Poplar Creek Public Library is interviewing longtime Streamwood & Hanover Park residents about their experiences living here. The interviews will be made public and shared in the library's digital history collection, found at pclib.org/history. Interviews will run from 15 to 60 minutes.
