Wayne Township Senior Services has many opportunities for seniors 55+. The Wayne Township Senior Center is located at 27W031 North Avenue, West Chicago, IL 60185. They can be reached at (630) 231-7155. Office hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Membership is free for those older adults who live in Wayne Township. Folks who live outside of the township boundaries can attend the fee-based day trips at the guest rate. Overnight trips are the same cost for members and non-members.

Wayne Township operates a Lending Closet. Medical equipment is available on a short-term basis. A $25 cash deposit is required and refundable upon return of the equipment. The Township also has Illinois S.H.I.P. (Senior Health Insurance Program) counselors available to educate, advocate, counsel and empower Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers to make informed healthcare benefit decisions. Call the Senior Center at (630) 231-7155 to speak with a SHIP Counselor or schedule an appointment.
Additionally, the Township's General Assistance Department offers a number of programs designed to help township residents who are experiencing hardships. Their staff can help determine eligibility for specific programs, which include Financial Assistance, a Food Pantry and Medical Assistance. Click HERE for more information on available programs.
Wayne Township provides Dial-A-Ride, a subsidized transportation program service to ALL Wayne Township residents. The Dial-A-Ride program provides residents with curb-to-curb transportation service from their home to any location within Wayne or Bloomingdale Township and to certain specific locations.
