Village Hall Hours of Operation & Guidelines for Phase 3 Begin Thursday, June 4th. 

Hours:Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 a.m.– 4:30 pm Senior Hours:  8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Closed: Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Closed days will be used to thoroughly disinfect facilities

 
Entrance to Village Hall: Main Front Entrance Only

Side and back entrances of the building (Doors 6 & 7) will be closed to the Public, except for emergency egress.

The first day Village Hall will be open for PHASE 3 Hours is Thursday, June 4th.

Visitors to Village Hall


  1. All visitors MUST wear a face covering over their mouth and nose to enter Village Facilities.
  2. Only one visitor at a time will be allowed at a Village counter.  Those waiting their turn must remain at the next social distancing floor maker.  Children under the age of 18 can accompany a visitor
  3. All visitors MUST practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6’ of physical separation from others. Floor marks will be installed at 6’ intervals in waiting areas to facilitate social distancing.  It shall be the responsibility of all Village employees to recognize and instruct visitors to comply with requirement.   
  4. Visitors are encouraged to utilize hand sanitizer stationed inside the main entrance.
  5. No public waiting will be allowed inside Village Hall except for those standing in line using the floor marking system.  All visitors in line move up one service line at a time to maintain social distancing.
  6. Elevator usage is restricted to single occupancy. Children under the age of 18 can accompany a visitor.

COVID-19 Resources For Businesses  


The Village of Hanover Park is prepared to move to Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois Plan beginning Friday, May 29. Phase 3 allows for outdoor dining, re-opening of retail businesses and personal care services. Village staff have been working diligently to provide the guidance and criteria so businesses can transition into Phase 3 and adhere to the State guidelines and local governance.


Guidance on Reopening


The Village has compiled resources on reopening after COVID-19.  Please note this not legal guidance.  Always follow CDC guidelines and consult an attorney if in doubt.

Phase 3 Guidelines for Reopening Businesses & Returning to work safely

Under the Restore Illinois framework, certain businesses and activities are allowed to resume in Phase 3 with IDPH-approved safety guidance in place. Phase 3 guidelines span 10 different industry categories. Common Guidelines (including workplace posters) for all Phase 3 Businesses and Operations to follow can be found in the Phase 3 Business Toolkit.
The State has issued additional health guidance on reopening.  Please make sure to follow State guidelines, including a 6-foot social distancing requirements and:

Restore Illinois Plan

Governor Gov. J.B. Pritzker has presented a plan for reopening Illinois that relies on five, data-driven phases. The governor said the move to each phase will depend on measurable progress against the COVID-19 coronavirus, including the regional availability of healthcare. The plan divides the state into four regions for purposes of reopening - Northeast Illinois, which includes Hanover Park, North Central Illinois, Central Illinois and Southern Illinois.

    Outdoor Dining Criteria


    Due to the social distancing requirements necessary to protect people from the COVID-19 pandemic, Hanover Park has expanded outdoor seating options to include areas such as parking lots.

    • Hanover Park Outdoor Dining policy
    • Restaurants will need a permit  There will be no fee for the permit and it will be valid for 90 days
    • Restaurants will be required to sign a "hold harmless" agreement
    • If a restaurant wants a tent as part of their outdoor dining, see new temporary tent guidelines and permit application
    • Hours of operation will be limited to 10:00 pm on weekdays and 11:00 pm on weekends.

    The Village will provide free banners (3’ X 8’) and sandwich board signs (double sided) with Hanover Park and Restaurant logos.  Signs will be provided by Hanover Park Platinum Corporate Partner ER2 Image Group, a Hanover Park based graphics company.
