Public Hearing For Village Center ZoningThe Village of Hanover Park is taking steps to implement our long-range vision of creating a vibrant ‘downtown’ area around the Metra train station. Streetscape improvements were installed last year, creating a new plaza and public spaces. To implement land use recommendations of our Comprehensive Plan and Village Center Transit-Oriented Development Plan, changes are proposed to the Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is significantly different than the traditional zoning districts they are replacing. These changes include the creation of new zoning districts with regulations and guidelines for future development in the Village Center area. All interested parties may attend the public hearing to learn more about the project or provide public comment. The Notice of Public Hearing is available online and was sent to all property owners whose properties are being rezoned, along with all properties within 250'.
The Development Commission agenda packet, including draft zoning ordinance, will be available on the Village website, www.hpil.org. For further information, call 630-823-5780.
WHEN: Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 7:00 pm WHERE: Village Hall – 2nd Floor - Rm. 214, 2121 Lake Street, Hanover Park, IL 60133 PURPOSE: Text & Map Amendment for proposed Village Center Zoning changes

Protection Against Emergency RepairsAlmost ten years ago, Hanover Park began a partnership with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA), a leading home service repair provider. Through this partnership, Hanover Park residents have an option to sign up for service plans to protect against the high cost of emergency repairs to their exterior water and sewer lines, as well as interior plumbing and drainage systems, on their properties
Since the partnership began Hanover Park residents have signed up for almost 2,200 policies.
Service Line Warranties of America was part of HomeServe USA Corp (HomeServe), a provider of home repair solution services for over 3.1 million customers across the US and Canada. Recently, HomeServe received an offer from Brookfield, a global infrastructure company based in Canada, to acquire the entirety of the company. This transaction is expected to be completed around the fourth quarter of this year at the earliest. Service Line Warranties of America has assured the Village that this announcement will not impact the service that they provide to our residents. Service Line Warranties of America will also be sending out a mailing to our residents explaining the transition to a new parent company. If you are interested in participating in the service line warranty program, visit the Village’s website or call 1-866-922-9006.
