Touch a Truck Flyer

Touch A Truck Is Tomorrow!

The Village of Hanover Park invites you to the Annual Touch-A-Truck Event at the Hanover Park Train Station Commuter Lot on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The event will be free of admission and will open to the public from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  A “quiet hour” will be held from 9:00 am -10:00 am for families with sound sensitivities to have an opportunity to enjoy the event.

Residents and neighbors are welcomed with their families. This year the event will feature a sand area for children to play and special photo areas for family pics and selfies.  This is a great event to get behind the wheel and meet the hometown heroes that drive the cars and trucks that make our village run. Hanover Park Public Works vehicles will be highlighted, as well as, vehicles from the Hanover Park Fire and Police Departments. Neighboring communities and industrial businesses will also have their vehicles showcased.

For further information, please contact Village Clerk Kristy Merrill at 630-823-5602.

Wednesday Night Live! Concert Schedule

Let's party mid-week with some great music and get over those Wednesday blues! All concerts are FREE!

We start off this summer with R-Gang on Wednesday, June 15 at the Hanover Park Sports Complex music pavilion from 7pm to 8:30pm.  Specializing in Motown/R&B, R-Gang is comprised of highly-respected members of Chicagoland’s musical community, with backgrounds as diverse as the band members themselves. From playing with nationally known artists such as Survivor, to writing and recording for groups like The Doobie Bros., to performing as an on-field band for the Chicago Bears and pre-game entertainment for the Chicago Bulls, the musicians in R-Gang hold many years of experience between them.

Water Use Survey

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) requires every water supplier to develop and implement a comprehensive Cross Connection Control (backflow) Program for the elimination of existing cross connections and prevention or protection from all future cross connections. Regulations are in place to protect our drinking water systems.

A  requirement of the program is to conduct a survey of all water customers every 3 years. Hanover Park water customers will receive a survey notification in the mail soon.

Please follow the directions on the notification for completion of the survey. There is no cost, and it takes only a few moments to complete. Surveys should be completed within 30 days of receipt of the notice.

Hanover Park’s backflow program contractor is Aqua Backflow from Elgin, IL. They specialize in cross connection control program management and your survey notification will come from them. Note that if you have or require backflow protection, you may also be notified for compliance (testing, repairs, or installations) by Aqua Backflow. Contact them at 847-742-2296 or info@AquaBackflow.com with any questions. (This is not common for residential dwellings.)

Hanover Park’s Cross Connection Control Program is designed to safeguard public health. We ask for your cooperation with our program, its enforcement, and any requests for information that comes from Aqua Backflow or utility staff.
