REGISTER YOUR BIKE! The Hanover Park Police Department offers bicycle registration through National Bike Registry. We strongly encourage all of our residents to LOCK YOUR BIKES! However, if your bike does get stolen, register it and you will have a much better chance of getting it back. Bicycle registrations are FREE for as long as you own the bike, and can include photographs, additional information about distinguishing features or accessories. The site also offers good advice and information, especially about bike locks. Users can access their registration through the website or by downloading apps for either Apple and Android devices. If your registered bike is reported stolen, it will be posted on the website. Then, when the serial number is run in the registry, the police department will be notified, no matter where in the country it is recovered. Remember – Register your bike and keep it locked!
